Composite or Resin Fillings often known as white fillings or bonding, can make a dramatic difference and improvement in the appearance of your teeth and smile almost immediately. Composite & Resin dental products are the high technology yet “friendly” products Dr. Herrmann uses to repair small cavities or chips in front teeth, as well as cosmetically fill larger cavities in back teeth. Composite and/or resin materials can provide virtually the same effect(s) as porcelain veneers can do in improving the appearance of your teeth. Using resin or composite materials in lieu of porcelain veneers for cosmetic dentistry saves time and money. You may want to consider this procedure as opposed to veneers. Dr. Herrmann will discuss the “pro’s” and “con’s” with you during your personal consultation.

Tooth Shaping can shorten long teeth, round off pointed teeth, and helps to create a pleasing smile that gently follows the contour of your lip(s). Tooth shaping involves removing an extremely minute amount (less than 1 or 2 millimeters) of the enamel of the teeth or a tooth involved and is usually totally painless. The procedure is most frequently a one-step process and is usually completed in less than half-an-hour. In extremely rare case patients develop a temporary sensitivity which subsides in virtually all cases in a matter of a few hours to a few days.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers, or as we call them "veneers", are custom-made porcelain covers that Miami Dentist Dr. Herrmann painlessly places over the fronts of one’s teeth to enhance their appearance. Veneers can also be used to repair damage or other imperfections. Veneers can dramatically change a person's smile and help improve one’s self-confidence without the need for more expensive and invasive procedures.

The Veneer procedure is what gives many Actresses/Actors, TV Personalities, Singers/Musicians & Models the dazzling and infectious smiles that you see on-stage, in movies, on TV and in magazines. Veneers are used to improve a wide range of cosmetic or aesthetic dental issues. They can whiten stained or discolored teeth, close the ‘gaps’ between teeth, "correct" a slightly crooked smile without the need for braces or retainers, repair chips from accidents or natural imperfections, even create a more attractive or youthful looking smile.

The procedure takes about two weeks (for custom fabrication of the veneers) and the bonding to the fronts of the teeth can be accomplished in one or two visits. This process not only improves your appearance and smile, it also improves the strength of your teeth.
